Improving Children's Oral Health
One Smile at a Time.
We help to innovate health care systems in Los Angeles County by improving oral health care for 500,000 children with Medi-Cal dental coverage.
More LA Smiles is a UCLA-led Dental Transformation Initiative that aims to improve oral health care for 500,000 Los Angeles County children with Medi-Cal dental coverage.
This transformative work is being accomplished through multiple strategies with support from a group of local and national subcontractors, including: Practice-level and system-level improvements, Professional education programs, information technology solutions, and innovative performance measurement.
We work directly with medical and dental professionals in a clinical setting, as well as outreach on the community-level to impart the importance of oral health to educators and at-risk children.
We are proud to partner with Sesame Street in Communities to conduct a children’s oral health awareness campaign with the aim of educating children, families, and caregivers about the importance of oral health.
